Griffin Bay is an educational resource for yacht owners and others new to the boating world. We offer practical, interactive sailing and powerboat handling instruction on your boat or ours. We also offer skippered charters throughout the San Juans, Gulf Islands, and beyond our local waters. Our captains also deliver yachts all over the world and are often looking for experienced hands to help crew these often exotic vessels in exotic waters. These opportunities are offered first to the most qualified Griffin Bay Alumni and then shared through our mailing list. YACHT DELIVERY
Yacht delivery may be significantly more cost-effective than transportation by truck.
Delivery costs vary depending on the vessel, time of year, location, and notice. To determine if your vessel is eligible for delivery by GBA, please take some time to complete the delivery application and we will respond promptly.
Currently, we are delivering boats across the Canadian border. These are special case-by-case contracts. Please inquire for an estimate. Importation deliveries will cost more but are also billed on a case-by-case basis.

Griffin Bay Adventures (GBA) offers an educational program designed to prepare people for bluewater and coastal passage making and joining a delivery crew can be a great way to earn your miles while experiencing sailing on different kinds of boats.
Our captains and instructors are often contracted to join the owner of a yacht to provide support and instruction on maiden passages and deliveries If the vessel is eligible, prequalified students seeking experience and qualifying sea time may join as crew. In this way, the delivery costs can often be offset by the educational program.

If a class you are interested in isn’t scheduled, contact us and we will find a time to offer it. Our classes are student dependent so if we don’t meet minimum number of candidates the cost will increase to make up for it or the class will be rescheduled. Ask about discounts if you fill the boat yourself.
