We are approaching Cape Blanco and the first of two serious capes we have to contend with. We have been motoring for a few days through a lull and are are now getting the beginning of what will be a gradual increase in wind and swell that will carry us to SF without too much trouble.

Other than the incessant noise and some sea state coming on the beam the motoring is relaxing and the vessel and crew are doing well. Serious napping begins in preparation for night watch after a wonderful dinner of  barbecued chicken and artichoke served with rehydrated mashed potatoes was served by oour resident restaurateur. The only concern coming from the on watch is trying to stop the slight squeak coming from the wheel.
