For those wanting a preview of their own Baja-Ha-Ha, or the coastal sailing experience without the inconvenience of boat ownership, consider coming aboard an Island Packet 350 for a downwind cruise to San Francisco. For those with the prerequisite certification, this passage will earn Advanced Coastal Cruising Certification. The Island Packet 350 is very comfortable and safe example of a modern displacement cruising yacht. Equipped with the comforts you would expect from a boat of its kind. It has a large refrigerator, freezer and a dodger. This trip is for those looking for a more laid-back introduction to coastal passage making. 

Instructors: Captain Rhys Balmer and Erden Eruc will be supervising all watches. Both captains are ASA Instructors and have thousands of sea miles.

Cost: Crew members will be taught ASA 106 “Advanced Coastal Cruising. The cost for the course is $2000 which will be taught by the captains (Course and Captains details on his website

Vessel: Bandon is a fully offshore capable boat.  It comes equipped with radar, AIS, life raft etc. More information about the boat is posted on the application link below.

Pre-requisites:  At minimum the crew members should be BBC certified and have ideally passed a Coastal Navigation Course. Offshore/night sailing experience is always a plus.  There will be a pre-trip midnight sail as a training exercise on September 22nd in Friday Harbor where we will cover night crew overboard recovery.
